LynnAnn Babuk - a Architectural graduate of the University of Illinois / Chicago, understands design and layout. Realizing the importance of design and layout is what makes hand written calligraphy an art, instead of a computer program.
As Proprietor of Babuk Ink Calligraphy since 1997, LynnAnn Babuk has provided calligraphy services to clients who run the gamut from the typical to the surprising.
Her clients have included many walks of life: from hospital boards and educational institutions needing diplomas; to corporations wishing to project their best image on holiday greetings or socialites wishing to impress their friends, to young couples wishing to announce their wedding, or other important religious, family events. Once, LynnAnn was asked to number and label the inaugural leather bound issue of 500 copies of a historically important corporate monograph; another time, she was asked by Paramount Pictures to pose in a motion picture writing invitations as a “hand double” and to create various handwritten stage props.
A member and Past President of the Chicago Calligraphy Collective, LynnAnn has participated in many workshop studios and organized several exhibits promoting calligraphy to the community. In other organizations, she is volunteering her work towards the "Calligraphy in the Classroom" program at the Buffalo Grove School District, and Artist Forum at Mann School Oak Park.
As a teacher, LynnAnn has taught various organized calligraphy classes for community groups and stores in Chicago and area suburbs; she has also tutored several private lessons at clients' request.
From her studio in the prairie school enclave of Oak Park, Illinois, LynnAnn Babuk provides professional, elegant hand-written calligraphy services. |
